    One year ago today I was driving home from Colorado after the final 3 days of my trip took place in nearly constant rain. At this pictured moment shown above, I had seen the sun for the first time in those few days as I exited the regional cloud. Today, I take my leave from the Abazs family's Round River farm, and I think about how this experience has been the sun I absorbed after getting out of my own personal cloud. A Week of WWOOFing

    There came a point in my life where I realized that a lot of what I stood for, what I was raised to believe, was superficial. I cared about the earth, but only recycled when it was convenient. I supported water conservation, but took 20 minute showers. I longed to help starving people, but dumped plate after plate of uneaten food in a trash bag at restaurants and fast food chains I worked at.
